Tomorrow, the trip to South Africa begins. I am flying to Minneapolis and then Boston, staying the night, and continuing to Johannesburg via Paris. I am almost packed, and am starting to feel excited. It is hard to look forward to something when a lot of work remains before it can be accomplished - now that all the prep work is done, I am invigorated by the thought of going to Africa.
I do plan to write a journal every day, and post the entries on this blog when I return (I might have very limited access to the internet while I am there). I return to Bozeman, if all goes as planned, on July 22. Look for the journal entries a few days later.
